Interviews, Links and Essays

I was interviewed here and there, across the blogosphere, upon the release of "To Truckee's Trail" and especially for the "Adelsverein Trilogy" - a selection of these interviews are here.

I also wrote a number of essays exploring various aspects of the 19th century as I researched and worked on the longer books, expanding on events that I passed over rather quickly. I also discovered websites of particular interest, offering a deeper insight into events as varied as the Goliad Massacre and transatlantic steamship traffic. A collection of pictures of Texas locations and historical relics used to form my own imagining of various scenes is the latest addition to these essays.
